FAQ's
Below we have some of the Frequently Asked Questions that we encounter. If the answer to your particular problem is not listed, please do contact us. Q: My Computer Does Not Switch On. A: Firstly, make sure that you have connected all the cables correctly. If you have a Pentium®based processor then there may be a power switch on the back on the PC case, make sure this is on. Make sure your monitor is connected and switched on. On the front of the computer system there should be at least one light indicated power usually green in colour and the machine should be making at least a little noise. Q: Every Time I start My Computer It Runs some Kind Of Scan Program? A: This program, called 'Scan Disk' usually begins at start up if you failed to shut down your computer correctly. Make sure the next time you close down your PC, you do not simply switch it off but that you use the ‘Shut Down’ option that’s found via your Start button on the windows taskbar. Q: There Is No Sound On My Computer. A: Make sure that your speakers are plugged into the SPK Socket at the back of your computer correctly. Then make sure that your volume level is up, usually accessed via the ‘Control Panel’ found via the start menu. Q: I Keep Getting Fatal Exception Errors In Certain Programs. A: Generally, these errors are caused due to software corruption, or memory faults. Try to uninstall and reinstall the application where the fault is occurring, to see if this solves the problem. Q: The Icon's Are Too Big Or Too Small and Things Keep On Going Off The Screen. A: Try increasing your screen resolution. To do this, right click on your desktop background and select properties. At the top of the window will be a tab called ‘Settings', select this then use the slide bar to change the resolution either up or down as required. Higher resolutions make things smaller on screen. |
